Bob Page
Clients are ‘ incredibly confident’ in ... Bob Page, who demonstrates ‘ responsiveness and in-depth knowledge’ - Media & Entertainment section, Legal 500 (2008 edition)
Bob took Law at Southampton University as he wanted to pursue a degree which might have some relevance to him in business, and was pleasantly surprised to find that the disciplines he learned learning Classics at A-Levels dovetailed well with a study of the Law. He graduated from the University of Southampton with a 2.1 LLB (Hons) degree. Whilst at University his interest in music led him to study Intellectual Property Law with a particular focus on musical copyright.
After completing his Law Society finals at Guildford Bob trained with a niche music and entertainment firm, where David Gentle oversaw his training. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1994 and was a partner in the firm from 1999 until it dissolved in 2001.
After spending the next 7 years as a partner in his own firm Bob was pleased to renew his association with David Gentle and to join the partners in Goldkorn Mathias Gentle in April 2009, forming Goldkorn Mathias Gentle Page LLP.
Bob’s core practice is in media and entertainment but equally he enjoys the challenges that working in general private practice brings. He strives to demystify the workings of the Law for his clients in an approachable manner; having worked closely with creative people over many years Bob is very familiar with the stresses and strains placed upon them.
Bob Page is recognized as an expert in the field of Media and Entertainment Law in the Legal Business directory of Legal Experts 2009.
