Roger McHugh
Roger joined Gamlens, a long-established firm of Solicitors in Lincoln’s Inn, in 1965 and worked under both the Probate and Litigation Managers before becoming Senior Legal Manager in 1979. He left Gamlens following their merger with Penningtons and joined Goldkorn Mathias Gentle Page LLP (in its then incarnation as Goldkorn Davies Mathias) in July 1990. Roger is the firm’s Senior Legal Manager.
Prior to joining Goldkorn Mathias Gentle Page LLP Roger was responsible for the running of Gamlens’ agency department acting as London Agent for over 50 firms of Solicitors nationwide. The work covered most aspects of civil litigation, costs assessment and insolvency matters, and involved appearing and conducting cases before High Court Judges, Masters, Bankruptcy Registrars and County Court District Judges.
Roger now regularly appears in the High Court conducting hearings before Judges in Chambers, Masters, Registrars in the Bankruptcy Court and Costs Judges. He conducts personal injury claims and claims against the Police working closely with specialist barristers in those fields.
Roger has more than forty years of legal experience behind him and is therefore very much at home in both the High Court and the Inner London County Courts.
